VENTRINA’S SCHOLARSHIP

Ventrina is a Ugandan nurse whom I had the pleasure to meet and work beside the summer of 2024 at Sanyu Babies Home, an orphanage located in Kampala, Uganda. We quickly became friends, and when I learned that her job was at risk due to a lack of education and resources I felt compelled to help.

Through the director at Sanyu Babies’ Home, we’ve been able to coordinate this scholarship and ensure Ventrina can continue working in a field she loves, serving her community, and supporting her family’s needs.

A total of nearly 2235 USD has been raised so far, and in turn, we’ve been able to send Ventrina back to school to receive her diploma in nursing, which, according to a new policy put in place by the Ugandan government, will soon be required to practice medicine. A remaining 200 USD is needed to fully fund this scholarship, which covers her full tuition balance, books, uniforms, and supplies.

Ventrina and I express our thanks to those who have so generously contributed to this project so far, for this not only affects us directly, but also our families, the children of Sanyu Babies Home, and whoever Ventrina has the ability to serve in the future.
